Aaliyahs Birthday

Good morning,

Yesterday, we celebrate the feast of St Martin in class. After narrating the story, we discussed the importance of sharing. We can share many of our things with a lot of people either at home, at school or right outside in the community.

Children prepared their own St Martin tag, to be later attached on their goody bag and also they managed to draw their own sharing picture on their Religion workbk. When they are done, I always take the time to understand what the children drew and jot down a couple of note next to the picture. For the first time this book was sent home to finish off the colouring of St Martin, please return on Wednesday together with our picture scrapbk.

Later on in the day we carried on with this activity by taking the time to organize all the St Martin’s bags. While sharing all the fruit and sweets we were singing the little chant that goes with this feast :

Gewz, lewz qastan tin

Kemm inhobbu lil San Martin

One should hear all the little ones trying to remember the Maltese words!!!….. and what accent!!

Yesterday we also celebrated Aaliyah’s birthday. This happened as a surprise for our little Princess, given that she knew nothing about her birthday and her dad surprised her with a Princess cake, candles and balloons in class …. after the initial shock she was overjoyed Happy Birthday little one may you have a wonderful day in the company of all your loved ones xx
