Limo Hire For Birthdays

Many parents and kids in our culture see birthday parties as an opportunity to show off – how much money they have, how edgy or cool they are, etc. What started off with younger kids as "Who hired the pony for their birthday?" morphs into "Who took their tween girls for facials or an overnight in a hotel with a pool?" Does this need to be the case? Not at all. There are many possibilities for tween parties. I'll share my own experiences with my daughter's 12th birthday and how we managed to have fun, without the drama, status stuff, or spending a fortune.

Talk to Your Kids … They May Surprise You

In my own (truthful) experience, I had come to dread birthday parties. They often were the cause of much anxiety for me – and the birthday child in question. Would all the kids get along? Would we have enough activities to do? Would anyone be crying at any point during the party? All of these things had been problems at our parties in the past. I distinctly recall a party when my daughter turned four. I had set out a bunch of fun napkins, plates, party hats and they were not all the same. My daughter thought it was terrific. One of her preschool friends asked me, "Is there a theme to this party?" What?! I knew then I was a failure as a party host.
